Drive the immediate countryside or hit the coastal road within 15 minutes of The Hideaway Experience.

Angus Coast Route
Join the A92 from the centre of Dundee and travel north to the seaside village of Broughty Ferry, passing (or stopping at) the historic watermill in Barry Mill and continue up to Arbroath where you can visit the Abbey and then onto Lunan Bay in Angus for a beach walk and a top up at the cafe. From Dundee, this drive is just under 25 miles one way with stunning coastal views and plenty of opportunities to stop, snack, photograph, walk or just watch the world going by.
For a longer day out, keep heading north passing through the coastal town of Montrose, onto Stonehaven and up to Aberdeen Harbour.
Fife Coastal Route
Travel downhill 15 minutes from your Hideaway into Dundee and drive over the Tay Bridge into the Kingdom of Fife. Pass numerous beautiful seaside towns and fishing villages including St Andrews, Crail, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Elie before heading back inland via the market town of Cupar. We would highly recommend stopping to enjoy a walk on the Fife Coastal Path at our favourite stretch at Elie.
Cairngorms National Park Drive
This is a full day out. Head across the Strathmore valley to the market town of Blairgowrie, head north on the A93 and into the Scottish mountains within the Cairngorm National Park, the steep and windy road is not for the faint hearted but makes for a great drive.
Stop off in the village of Braemar, the home of the famous Braemar Highland Games which the Royal family attend each year. Continue along the A93 past Balmoral where the Queen takes her annual holiday and on to the beautiful area of Royal Deeside. At Banchory cut down over "Cairn o Mount." This is quite a steep route but at the highest point there is scenic look out view where you can stop and take in the whole local area stretching to the sea.
You will then drop down and join the A90 dual carriageway which will take you back to The Hideaway Experience.
