Gin Bothy Christmas Cocktail Making
Take a master class in gin-based cocktail making from Kim Gall, owner and founder of The Gin Bothy at nearby Glamis on Friday 7th December. The Gin Bothy is also open from Thursday- Sunday 11-5pm selling lots of products to purchase for stocking fillers in the Bothy larder shop as well as fruits,fusions and spirits.
Take in a show
Dundee’s Repertory Theatre is showing The Snow Queen from 29 Nov to 31 Dec. With an epic original score, spellbinding storytelling, and more than a pinch of Christmas magic, this thrilling reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fable promises to be a fairy-tale you won’t want to miss this Christmas.
Stock up on festive treats
Grewar’s Farm Shop is only 5 miles from The Hideaway Experience and is stacked with luxury Scottish produce. You can pick up locally grown vegetables, local meats, pies, sausages, pates charcuterie, cheese, artisan bread, gelato ice cream, handmade chocolates, jams, chutney, organic eggs, gins, wines, beer and cider. Grewar’s Farm Shop has everything you need for a gourmet eating in experience.
Dundee Ethical Christmas Fair
With over 45 stalls inside a beautifully decorated marquee in Dundee City Square this is the place to pick up Christmas gifts and enjoy festive food and drinks. The Fair runs from 5-22 December and is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.

Shopping and festive refreshments
The Pine Cone Cafe at Tayside Forestry will put you straight into the Christmas mood. Only 3 miles walk or drive from The Hideaway Experience, they have a warm and bright cafe offering breakfast, brunch and lunch through to afternoon tea. The Christmas shop surrounds the cafe showcasing a magical wonderland full of Christmas decorations and gorgeous gifts.
