A "sweet" collaboration with The Barrie Box for our Summer Holiday Package.
A short 20 minute drive North-West from the Hideaway Experience takes you to The Barrie Box. A fantastic local producer of soft fruits in our community located between Coupar Angus and the village of Ardler.
This soft fruit farm not only has fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries & brambles (when in season) it also sells delicious ice cream blended as you wait with fruit grown on site.
Included in our Summer Holiday Package this year is a complimentary voucher to enjoy coffee, ice cream and fresh strawberries at this wonderful agritourism business.
Caroline and Ross visited last season and we can't wait for their reopening later in April.
A suggested day trip itinerary from The Hideaway Experience:
- Morning walk around the Newtyle Railway Walk. Allow 1.5hours for the 5.8km circular route which is mainly flat.
- Lunch at Ardler Tavern, a firm favourite with our team.
- Afternoon visit to the Barrie Box to sample delicious freshly picked strawberries and to enjoy an ice cream made on site. Pick up soft fruits and other local produce in their farm shop to take back to your Hideaway.
